Give Our Kids a Safety Boost
The Center for Injury Research and Policy (CIRP) with Funding from the Nationwide® Foundation Releases a New Booster Seat Tool for Columbus Families
CIRP has designed the first-ever interactive, educational booster seat tool, Safety Boost, to teach families about booster seats. In Ohio an estimated 80- 90% of children who should be using boosterseats are not using one.
Safety Boost was created to educate children and families on why they need a booster seat, when they should use a booster seat, which seat is the best, and when to know if their child is ready for the seat belt. Safety Boost has several interesting features including a measuring tape to help families measure their child's height and a 5-step test to know when their child is ready to use a seat belt without a booster seat. Be on the lookout for this tool in August and September.
